I have good friends here in Springfield who don’t let the current conditions keep them from the daily commute. Tracy, Jim, and Paul are all better men than I.
I took to the truck and turned on the defroster to clear the windshield of the sleet and snow that is heading toward the east coast. Cycling will return, but not soon enough for me.
Jan and I had to go to a local mall last night on an errand. Being there reminded me why I don’t go there and it wasn’t even crowded. I don’t miss it.
But something that we have started to enjoy once more in the evenings is the collection of classical LPs that I held onto when CDs became the wave. Usually we have Mozart, but tonight I introduced Jan to Schubert’s Trout Quintet. The music is satisfying.
Everyone needs something like that.
Stay happy,

I don’t know about the “better” part, more crazy perhaps, but crazy doesn’t necessarily make you better.
‘Better’ is the proper term here. And ‘crazy’ helps one to disregard extraneous items like eight inches of snow!
The Trout is a real treat.
That false ending in the fifth movement fooled me for the second night in a row! You can tell I haven’t listened to it in a while.
It is well to simply say “no mas” on occasion. Even those you cite do so.
As you say, everyone has their own line in the sand. BTW, I want to say once more how good your recent offering, I Remember, is. I read it to my wife and she just looked at me and smiled. Thank you, Steve.
