It doesn’t take much

I explored a bit on wheels during lunch and went off-road by some railroad tracks.  I figured my hybrid tires would be tough enough but it only took one little thorn in the right place.  I didn’t notice the front tire going down until I was back on pavement and about 1/3 of a mile from the end of the trip.  By pumbing extra hard I made it back to work without having to walk.  Later in the afternoon I was able to change out the tube.  It took me about three times going over the tire before I found the culprit.  Thank God I found it, too!  I could have had my only spare go flat.

I saved the CO2 for when we are out on the road and used the trusty pump to finish up.

May you all be safe and avoid those thorns out on the road.

Stay happy,

About rlhoover

A perspective on life and cycling in the Ozarks. I started serious cycling in 2008, after seeing my wife be on the bike for a few years. We have biked many places and hope to continue. I am no where near being a real good cyclist, but I have fun trying to improve. Who am I kidding? Me? Improve??
