Cross the line

My Bianchi Cortina.

Yesterday, Jan and I visited our LBS for a couple of reasons.  The first was that we were scouting for our son who is coming from Colorado next weekend.  He may get a bike since he and his wife have one car and we were seeing what was available for him.  He will be commuting to work in Colorado Springs (uphill to work, downhill home–that’s the way to do it).  The cycle pictured above is what I commute on and I could not ask for more from a bike.  But that brings me to the second reason for going to the shop.  My Bianchi came without fenders and I finally decided to get some and some panniers.

With the fenders, I am apt to continue commuting in the face of any rain or threat of rain that might occur.  Next on the list:  rain clothing.

Stay happy,

About rlhoover

A perspective on life and cycling in the Ozarks. I started serious cycling in 2008, after seeing my wife be on the bike for a few years. We have biked many places and hope to continue. I am no where near being a real good cyclist, but I have fun trying to improve. Who am I kidding? Me? Improve??

  1. Nice addition to that bike. I was tempted to ride this morning in spite of the rain, but couldn’t decided if my bike would be sufficient or if I needed an ark! Finally decided to drive based on all the thunder I kept hearing.
