Every once in a while (the weather has to cooperate) Jan will ride over to my work in the afternoon and we will ride home together.  We talk about our day, avoid potholes, and discuss traffic.

Near home, I asked her if her bike was working well.  I only asked since I had oiled the chain and aired up the tires.  Naturally, I want to keep it running well for her.

“Well, I guess it’s ok.”

“What’s the matter?”

“I have to pedal to keep going.”

“You want me to call the shop?”

Stay happy,

About rlhoover

A perspective on life and cycling in the Ozarks. I started serious cycling in 2008, after seeing my wife be on the bike for a few years. We have biked many places and hope to continue. I am no where near being a real good cyclist, but I have fun trying to improve. Who am I kidding? Me? Improve??
